Our proactive approach with state and local assessors allows us to maintain the continued confidence and respect of the assessment community. For example, during our informal assessment review, we attend plant visits when assessors would like to tour such facilities to understand any significant changes to the real or personal property values. We also educate them on the pertinent facts of each property and why we are proposing such adjustments. Furthermore, we then collaborate with them on their review and assessment to ensure that all relative information is addressed when determining the property value. This, in turn, ensures that our client’s interests are well represented and that they have obtained the fairest valuation possible.

Our value negotiation and settlement responsibilities include both formal and informal appeals before local and state boards. Assessors realize our clients are responsible, tax paying members of their communities; however, they deserve to pay only their fair share of taxes.
